Transition to MAHSA International College (Penang)

Penang International Dental College (PIDC) is pleased to announce that approval has been obtained from the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT), Malaysia, for the transition of the institution to its new name:

MAHSA International College (Penang)
formerly known as Penang International Dental College (PIDC)

This transition reflects the institution’s strategic growth and alignment with the ONE MAHSA vision, expanding beyond dental education into a multidisciplinary college while strengthening academic integration and future opportunities for students.

Over the past 20 years, the institution has built a strong reputation in dental education, having trained more than 900 dental surgeons who are currently serving in public and private sectors locally and internationally. This legacy continues as the institution moves forward under its new identity.

What This Means for You

  1. All programmes remain fully accredited and recognised
  2. No change to academic structure, curriculum, or clinical training
  3. Students’ progression, certification, and degrees are not affected
  4. Same campus, same faculty, same commitment to excellence

Looking Ahead
As MAHSA International College (Penang), the institution is expanding its academic offerings. In addition to the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) programme and Foundation programmes, a Diploma in Business Studies will commence in May 2026, with Nursing programmes to be introduced in the near future.

During this transition, the institution may be referred to as:
MAHSA International College (Penang) (formerly known as Penang International Dental College (PIDC))

No. Your degree, certification, and academic progression remain unchanged and fully recognised by the relevant authorities.

3. Are the programmes still accredited?

Yes. All programmes, including the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), remain fully accredited and recognised.

4. Is there any change to the campus, faculty, or facilities?

No. The campus, teaching faculty, clinical training, and facilities remain the same.

5. What does this change mean for future students?

Students will benefit from expanded academic pathways, including new programmes such as Diploma in Business Studies (from May 2026) and upcoming Nursing programmes, along with stronger integration within the MAHSA ecosystem.
