The Diploma in Nursing programme at MAHSA International College, Penang (MICP) integrates comprehensive theoretical learning with hands-on practical training in simulation wards and skills laboratories, equipping students with essential nursing competencies. Students will also undergo clinical placements in local hospitals and clinics, providing valuable real-world experience and exposure to the healthcare environment. This three-year, practice-oriented programme is ideal for school leavers who aspire to pursue a career in healthcare. It prepares graduates to work in hospitals, community healthcare settings, and other medical institutions. The curriculum encompasses Basic Medical Sciences, Nursing Sciences, Behavioural Sciences, and Practical Skills, ensuring a well-rounded and industry-relevant education.

Entry Requirements
Malaysian candidates
Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or *equivalent with three (3) credits
Mandatory credit in :
• Bahasa Melayu
• Mathematics (Elementary or Additional or Modern). Either one (1) of the credit below:
• Science/Biology/Chemistry/ Physics/Applied Science
• Pass in English.
International candidates
Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or *equivalent with five (5) subjects (minimum Gred C)
• Credit in Mathematics – (Elementary or Additional or Modern).
AND
Either one (1) of the credit below:
• Science / Biology / Chemistry / Physics / Applied Science
AND
• Credit in three (3) other subjects
OR
•A pass in International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with an Overall Band
Score of minimum 5.5;
OR
• Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
• TOEFL Paper Based Test (TOEFL PBT) a minimum score of 515.
• TOEFL Computer Based Test (TOEFL CBT) a minimum score 215.
• TOEFL Internet Based Test (TOEFL IBT) a minimum score 80.
• Cambridge Advance English (CAE)
• Cambridge Proficiency English (CPE)
• Pearson Test of English (PTE)
*Equivalent- refers to the overseas academic qualification obtained that is equivalent to SPM as approved by MQA).
Health Requirements
- All students must be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner within one month from commencement of the nursing programme.
- Students must not have any physical disabilities or impaired senses that hinders nursing dexterity.
- Students with medical conditions such as HIV, AIDS, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Epilepsy, mental health disorders and colour blindness cannot be admitted into the programme.
